Job Summary

This position is located at MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – MCCS. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a IT WEB DESIGNER NF3 RFT FOR MARKETING DEPARTMENT.
Major Duties
Responsible for the maintenance, updates and technical/graphical aspects of a variety of MCCS websites. Proficient in WordPress with a strong sense of contemporary and cutting edge web and responsive design. Requires sufficient knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Jquery and PHP with the ability to work with managers concerning special events, appropriate use of various branding identities and web analytics. Must multi-task effectively and be proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite. Must be creative and forward thinking in managing the websites and supporting client needs.
Works with Marketing Director and staff to support other digital media efforts, to include some design, content creation, and technical oversight of digital media assets.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have three years’ experience that demonstrates knowledge and application of web development and/or bachelor’s degree in related field. Must have a great deal of initiative and a flair for web design. Must be effective in both oral and written communication skills. Experience with Word Press is preferred. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
