Florina Titz is a filmmaker from Romania. Her film work has screened at Cannes, South by Southwest, South by Southwest, Berlin Music Video Awards, Napoli Film Fest, Sarajevo Fashion European Short Film Festival, Slamdance, Bangkok, Hong Kong Experimental etc.

In 2008 she directed the first Romanian queer film – “TRIP” ( “Best Indie” International Film Producers Film Festival IPIFF 2009)

She moved to the USA in 2008 to pursue an MFA in Film Production. She is a Berlinale Talents alumna and taught all aspects of film and video production at the Pratt Institute and California Institute of the Arts.

Florina just completed post production on “Caihong City” – a science fiction feature film with a cast and crew from 35 different countries, shot in Brooklyn and Romania.

She directed numerous award-winning music videos, narrative shorts & fashion films such as Silent Strike “It’s Not Safe to Turn Off my Computer” or collaboration with fashion designer Junkoteque. Currently, she is developing a film about young girls living in a highschool in early post-communist Romania.
