Eric Lagrimas is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He has a degree in Music Business/Management and spent his early professional music career in New York City with companies such as Billboard Magazine, Cherry Lane Music Publishing, and working alongside a Top 40 record producer. In 2004, Eric returned to Hawaii and worked primarily as a music licensing administrator and music producer. His projects have reached the Billboard music charts and recognized with a Na Hoku Hanohano and Hawaii Music awards.
Eric teaches MELE classes in Music Business (MBU), music theory and songwriting. He remains active as a music producer and industry consultant. Eric’s professional music affiliations include: the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts (HARA), the Recording Academy (GRAMMY Awards), Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), American Society of Composers, Author’s and Publishers (ASCAP), SoundExchange, Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) and the Music & Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA).
