Senior: Autumn Tam

Hi, my name is Autumn Tam. I was born and raised in Wailuku, Maui. I started taking photos in high school and continued to do so after I graduated. It was always a hobby for me. I will be graduating with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Creative Media with a concentration in General Creative Media. Artist? I would probably still be a photographer. Something about being behind the lens I enjoy because I am able to capture what others don’t see.

Title: Stop Means Stop

Question: How does graphic design in the United States differ in signage?

Background: Over the course of 100 years, traffic control has shaped the way humans navigate throughout the streets all over the world. Over time, these required equipment, designs, and regulations were put into place in order to support the traffic safety of the human race. The design concepts of our traffic control system is only as effective as they are clearly understood and for the most part, the system is the same throughout the world with a little tweak in designs in certain countries. The purpose of it all was to showcase the different designs of traffic control between different countries.
