Minimum qualifications:

  • Basic working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the field of video production, video conferencing, video telecommunications and multimedia development
  • Ability to use professional production or broadcast equipment including, but not limited to, cameras, recorders, wired and wireless microphones and editors
  • Basic working knowledge of audio/visual equipment used in classroom and conference rooms, including, but not limited to, sound systems, touch panels, computers, projectors, document cameras, DVD/BD players, soundboards and speakers
  • General understanding of concepts, terms and navigation in Windows XP and Windows 7 with familiarity using Mac OS computers
  • Able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds short distances
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials

Desirable qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of audio/visual setups
  • Advanced knowledge of audio/visual equipment used in classroom and conference rooms, including, but not limited to, sound systems, touch panels, computers, projectors, document cameras, DVD/BD players, soundboards and speakers

Availability

  • On call and scheduled for days, nights and weekend events

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary facilitative and administrative functions for remote streaming, post-production video editing, encoding of lecture or workshop capture
  • Work with site coordinator for setting up single- and multi-point video conference sessions using Polycom and ITS MCU service
  • Schedule, transport, operate and provide technical support for mobile video as needed on campus
  • Schedule, transport and provide technical support for mobile video conferencing cart, in-room video conferencing systems as needed on campus
  • Provide technical support to faculty and staff of questions and issues related to campus A/V systems including classroom and conference room systems and specialized systems
  • Provide unsupervised audio/visual support for campus events as needed. Including, but not limited to, set up of projectors , computers and sound systems
  • Work with departments and/or outside groups to schedule equipment for events as needed

Work Schedule:  Flexible to include Weekends and Evenings

Minimum/Maximum Hours:  20 hours/week
