We are pleased to announce the launch of the Fall 2017 term of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program (CCUWDP). This fall, CCUWDP is offering 38 workforce development program positions across the nation and applications are now available.

Our local Clean Cities Coalition, Sustainable Transportation Coalition of Hawaii (STCH), which is administered by Blue Planet Foundation is looking to hire one creative and self-driven Clean Cities intern to focus on the creation and management of visual content and social media marketing campaigns that advance our mission of clean transportation in Hawaii. The ideal candidate would have some videography skills, social media campaign/marketing experience, and some knowledge of sustainability, transportation, and/or urban planning issues.

The Clean Cities internship will give students studying videography, communications, public relations, business, marketing, engineering or environmental sciences, the opportunity to grow public awareness and expand the markets of advanced vehicle technologies, alternative fuels, and practices that reduce the consumption of petroleum.

The position would be for 14 paid weeks over a 15-week period from September 5 to December 18, 2017 with one week of unpaid vacation.  The application is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.  The intern would be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week and would pay $12/hour for an undergraduate or $15/hour for a graduate student.
