LeSportsac, a leading manufacturer of functional and chic handbags, has become an American icon sold in countries around the world. The Classic and Designer Collections (designed by trendsetters Stella McCartney, Jonathan Adler, Diane von Furstenberg, tokidoki and Gwen Stefani) have established LeSportsac as the leading American brand of casual nylon bags in the U.S., Mexico, Asia and Europe. The Collection’s trademarks are sporty American styling, a wide color and print assortment and lightweight functionality with high performance fabrics and hardware.

This position gives you a chance to get involved with both the Marketing & Public Relations field within our LeSportsac division. A hands-on role that will provide real-life working experience in the fashion accessories’ world. In addition to PR, marketing & event planning, you will interface with visual merchandising, web design, graphic design & product development. You will also work with domestic and international channels of distribution as well as editorial and advertising teams. You will learn popular business practices, and skills necessary to operate in an office environment, as well as the importance of networking.

Job Responsibilities:

-Participate in seasonal Global Market week, Editor Previews, Marketing & Product Strategy meetings

-Participate in planning & executing events & seasonal previews & added value opportunities

-Manage sample traffic & sample closet (send out samples, call in returns, etc)

-Maintain credit/clipping books & online Press

-Assist with writing Press Releases-Manage editor appointments to introduce new collections

-Help maintain editor and blogger contact list

-Communicate with Bloggers and Press contacts on editorial requests-Assist with Social Media content creation and contests fulfillment

-Assist in invites and RSVP lists for events

-Upkeep all global print and digital PR placements books

Requirements:

-Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Power Point

-Strong leadership, critical thinking and problem solving skills

-A positive, outgoing, high energy personality

-Excellent written and communication skills

-Strong organizational skills

-Foreign language a plus

Must receive academic credit for this internship
