HIFF38: Call for All Hawai‘i University Student Short Films to Screen

We need a few good university student short films from Hawaii! If you are a budding college level filmmaker attending the University of Hawaii Systems (i.e. ACM UHM, ACM West Oahu), Hawaii Pacific University, Chaminade University or any college-level campus or program in the State of Hawaii, then we want you to submit your film for consideration for the 38th Hawaii International Film Festival presented by Halekulani (November 8-18)!

HIFF38 will kick off with our inaugural Student Showcase – University Level, where we will screen a program of the best Hawaii-made university student short films as part of the official festival program!

There is no entry fee and premiere requirement. What does that mean? Well, your short film could have screened at a previous festival or event prior to HIFF. It can also currently be online too. Just as long as it’s good, then we will show it! All films, however, must have been completed after January 1, 2018 and must originate from Hawaii. The deadline to submit is September 15!

Submit now over at Withoutabox, our official Film Call-For-Entries partner.
