Congratulations Student Award Winners at the 2019 Pele Awards!

Kapiʻolani Community College New Media Arts students won 6 PELE awards within the College Division, including the Best in Show Award (plus a $2,000 check) for Tyler Nash Apuya and his work in the category of Animation/Special Effects. This year’s award winners include Mahsa Crum (Silver) for her Integrated Brand Identity Campaign, Melissa Lum (Bronze) for her Website Design, David Efhan (Bronze) for his Website Design, Storm Kano (Bronze) for her Animation/Special Effects, and Tyler Nash Apuya (Bronze) once again in the category of Animation/Special Effects.

The Pele Awards is a one of fifteen National District Competitions for the American Advertising Awards, the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries every year from across the United States. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising and design.
